A very anticlimatic ending

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 1:11 AM
  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: Rob Thomas - Someday (on the radio)
  • Reading: Old uni emails
  • Watching: A bug fly past my monitor
  • Eating: Cheese biscuits (mmm...)
Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is it.
The end is nigh.

My university years may finally be complete!
WooooOOOooooot~!
Shari shall finally be registered as a ninja nurse. \( > w < )/

Of course, technicalities regarding my third-last submission mean I may have to redo one piece of assessment or, this application failing, redo that entire subject through another university during third semester. Bah, and all because of one stupid piece of paperwork I forgot to fill out because I falling-down exhausted after working 12 hour shifts for three days consecutively at the hospital.

Ah well. Them's the breaks I guess.
Won't be doing that again any time soon...

Or any time again, all things going well! :)

Theeeere's the blind optimism I've been missing.
Oh tertiary education, how you have jaded me...

Anywho, these dramas aside, I am going globe trotting over the next few months, yay!
And by 'globe trotting', I mean going to Perth for a wedding, the Victoria to visit family for a few weeks. (Yay, Family!)

So, yes, during this time I plan to get my sad, sorry, pasty pale (curse you again, tertiary education, for cutting into my vitamin D absorption time!) self into gear. Hopefully I still remember how to draw...

Ah well, we'll get there eventually.

Peace out, Brussels sprouts!

Not Dead Yet

  • Mood: Distressed
  • Listening to: Cicadas doing what they do and a truck reversing
  • Reading: Uni paperwork
  • Watching: Sandflies attempt to eat me
Haven't been on here in ages.

Reasons:
1) Family stuff.
2) Reeeally out of practice and anything I attempt to draw is, uh, not that crash hot.
3) ... Can't-be-bothered-itis.
4) University.

Careful. Reason number 3 shows signs of being contagious...

Thankfully only eight months left of reason number 4. Woot!
After that they HAVE to start paying me. Yay, non-poorness!

I've uploaded a sketch I did a couple of days ago. It's not much (seriously), but I'm going to treat it like a Proof of Life.

... And now I want to sketch somebody holding a newspaper for some reason...

Feeling ickly

  • Listening to: Road noise
  • Reading: Human Pathophysiology
  • Watching: Computer screen
Yay for me, the cold I've had for near-on a week now has decided to evolve into bronchitis... huzzah. :sarcasm: ... *sigh*

Brilliant timing, though. Right when I have assessment due.

Bleh.

Anywho, sorry about that.

Hi, by the way, long time now see!
How've you all been?

Wow, I've been so neglectful of my poor lil' deviant art account as of late.
And the arts in general, to tell the truth.

Oh, apart from the piano, which gets tortured several times a day.

Meh, what can I say? It's one of those sit-down-an-play requires-no-excessive-effort things.

And I'm kinda lazy...

Anywho, I have an assignment I'm currently avoiding (heh, and I wonder why I'm always so late getting them done...) so I better go work on that post-haste.

G'night all!

I wish you many happy.... uh, happinesses.

Wow, 'happinesses' is actually a word.

...The things you learn.

Hmm, I just read my previous journal, written back in April (!!!) where I was talking about having been at uni for 2 months.
Well, now I have but 3 weeks till my second semester is over (yay!) and then I'll have 4 months off (go me!).

Yeh, it's a weird set up, the uni I attend has 3 semesters (which should, in all actuality, be called TRImesters in order to be correct, but, I digress) and I only attend for the first 2.

That being said, I May Actually Get Some Artistic Things Done!
Huzzah! :w00t:

Heh, I am so looking forward to getting to go to bed before midnight and sleep in past 8.

mmm.... sleep....

And on that note, I make by retreat.

Bai bai!

wow, how negligent am i?!

hello world.

how are thing? ... yep, yep.. that's nice.

So, yeh, i've been at uni for almost 2 months now, and, yeh, whatever social life i had is now gone bye bye.

oh well, only 3 years to go, right? ......................... *sigh*

anywho, onto another topic.
i have spent that past 18 years or so... actually it's probably closer to 17.
i don't recall much of the first year oddly enough.

(he he, calvin and hobbes flashback
clavin: "what kind of phsco would brain wash a child?!"
hobbes: "actually, i just remember a lot of crying and burping up..."
and yes, i am quite well aware of the fact that those quotes are probably totally no word perfect... let's call it 'paraphrasing', shall we?)

wow, that got me way off topic. oh shush, i can hear you sighing in relief you know.
XD shush i tell you.

ok, back to my original line of conversational monologue:

in my 17 or 18 years of studying people and the human race, you know, the world in general, i have come to one conclusion which explains all the stuff that goes wrong in the world.

what? you want to know what it is?

....

ok, i'll tell you, but only coz i'm nice, and i owe you for the cookie i'm about to steal- er, 'borrow' from you............

my conclusion is this: People Are Stupid.

... happy now?
